Family Support -what have we been up to in year 2?
There's been alot going on in our parent networking • 6 Sep 2018
It's theatre time - we booked bamboozle a theatre company, specialising in offering a complete sensory experience inclusive for children with profound and multiple learning disability and their families. The children and their families thoroughly enjoyed this experience.
Boat trip - we were lucky enough to embark upon a boat trip with the Peter Le Merchant Trust for a second time. Fully accessible for wheelchair users, this trip offered a unique experience to network with other families, especially for many of our inner-city families.
Great Central Railway - we took a group of children and families to the Loughborough Great Central Railway for a trip on the Santa Special train. On boarding the train we were greeted with hot mince pies, juice and a sherry. We sang Carols and Christmas songs while we waited for Santa to make his way down the train and we were not disappointed. He came bearing gifts, spending time talking to our parents and children and a wonderful time was had by all.
We would like to say a big thank you to all the organisations who make it possible for our children and their families to enjoy special moments and make lasting memories.
