Vista’s CYP went virtual this summer

Vista's Children's and Young Person's team have been involved with lots of virtual activities and sessions this summer. Find out what we have been getting up to this summer below.
Networking over Whatsapp -
Families have come together to celebrate, support and giggle in their WhatsApp chats over the uncertain times in Covid. Parents have shared pictures and videos of their activities during lockdown.
“Although I’ve not posted much recently on the Vista group chat it’s been a real lifeline with keeping my spirits up over the last 3 months with everything going on. Thank you xx”
Vista's Virtual Talent Show -
Families join in on WhatsApp to share their very first Vista Virtual Talent show it was a good day and parents really enjoyed sharing their young people’s talent and seeing other family’s talents too.
Vista's Pen Pals -
Parents and Young people have been sending their letters and pictures to the New Wycliffe Residential home, where residents get to communicate via letter to families and they have been sharing their stories of lockdown. Susan Hough, Activities Co-ordinator has helped with the replies from the residents at New Wycliffe she mentioned this “The pen pal letters were interesting and residents enjoyed receiving artwork and hearing what the children had to say.”
Bamboozle Sessions -
Families came together to engage with three sessions delivered by Bamboozle, the sessions included creative expressions and for parents to be supported in engaging with their young people through different movements.
CIN Virtual Rainbow sessions by Oksana -
Families came together to dance, sing, and storytelling with Oksana. We also got to see Oksana showcase her amazing cooking skills.
