A visit to The National Space Centre

3 Aug 2022

Some of our families joined us at The National Space Centre today! This was a lovely activity as it gave our families some quality time to spend together whilst exploring The National Space Centre. Our families met us at the entrance and then were able to walk around the venue at their own pace! Whilst we were at The National Space Centre, we also had the opportunity to watch a planetarium show, this was very interesting and taught our children and young people about how they can help to save our plant and become guardians! The planetarium show educated us about our plant and how it rapidly changing! However, we were given trips and small changes we could make to help slow this down. This show was an immersive experience which our children and young people enjoyed!

One family said “We really enjoyed it as a family and each of us learnt a new fact about space. We laughed at the 1969 telephone and the fact we had to stand in one spot when making a call.”

Another family said “It was brilliant, the children learnt so much and had such a great time. We were very pleased as there was a lot of tactile and interactive things.”

One family stated “This was definitely one of the best activities we have done with Vista. Thanks Rebecca.”
