On Saturday 3^rd September we invited our families to join us at New Walk Museum for a consultation drop-in session. This was a chance for our families to network with other families whilst sharing their thoughts and opinions on the activities we are providing. We understand the importance of providing activities that families would like to engage with and attend. It was interesting to hear what new and exciting ideas our families had for potential activities in the future!

To make this consultation day a bit more exciting we decided to put a set of questions in different buckets filled with a mixture of things! These included beans, rice, ice, spaghetti hoops and vegetable soup! The children and young people put their hands into these buckets to collect and answer the questions!

If some of our children and young people didn’t fancy getting messy, we also had chalk boards and paper to write down or draw their thoughts.

Overall, this session was great as we now have a clearer idea of what families would like to get involved with in the future! We also now know how we can improve the sessions we offer!
