Vista’s Children and Young People enjoy Velociraptor show

21 May 2022

We recently invited some of our Children and Young People’s families to join us to watch a velociraptor show! This was an educational workshop put on by Teach Rex. They taught us all about the anatomy and life of one the most mesmerizing creatures that have ever roamed our planet. We got the chance to meet Sky, Goby and Tina the dinosaur along with other baby dinosaurs. The workshop also looked at what scientists and palaeontologists used to believe about the physiology of the velociraptor and its genetic make-up compared with what scientists believe now. Jean our amazing volunteer also got involved and enjoyed going up on stage! This activity was exciting engaging and a lot of fun!

One parent said “Thank you for organising this. The boys had a fantastic time”.

If you would like any more information on our activities, please get in touch with Rebecca, our Children and Young People’s Activities Officer at rebecca.tatman@vistablind.org.uk or on 07719 970567.
