Vista's Children and Young People visit Bosworth Battlefield

11 Aug 2022

On Wednesday 11th some of our families joined us at Bosworth Battlefield. This was a very interesting family activity where we learnt lots about the battle of Bosworth. Our day started in the heritage centre where Liz, our tour guide, told us all about the battle. Some of our children and young people also got involved and represented different people and army’s. We also had the opportunity to look and feel some of the different equipment and clothing that was used. We all couldn’t believe how heavy some of this was! We then moved outside and had a walk up the sun dial. Liz showed us where the battle happened and what direction the different armies came from. After our talk finished some of our families choose to have a picnic or got some food from the café. There was also an exhibition at the centre which some of our families choose to have look at. Overall, this activity was educational and a lot of fun. If you would like any more information on our activities, please get in touch with Rebecca, our Children and Young People’s Activities Officer at [email protected] or on 07719 970567.
